Urban Grids

Urban Grids is an ongoing series of projects that explore city grids as graphic elements through various analog printing techniques. Each reimagines the distinct footprints of American cities and highlights the intricate grid patterns found there. Future explorations with additional printing methods are currently underway.

1. Post cards

This series features risographed postcards for eight U.S. cities, capturing the distinct patterns of roads, landmasses, and bodies of water. The risograph’s layering process results in unpredictable ink blending and slight misregistrations, giving each print its own character and a tactile, artisanal quality.
